I am sure that you have read various articles about how video games are good for the brain. There are many of them out there, and you can bet that it will always be in your best interests to take a look at them. Personally, I think that it is very interesting to think that all these years of playing video games, solving these puzzles and constantly challenging myself to get better have definitely helped me personally. However, there are many different people out there who are going to dispute this. The question I ask is; “If Chess can help your brain function, who says that Starcraft can’t?”
One Article That I recently read came from Boston.com about Video Games and Brain Health. I was very happy to see this article when I first came across it. Basically, the article asserts that video games are good for the brain in a number of different ways and continue to advance your hand-eye coordination. It brings up a number of interesting points about how video games train your brain to think analytically and work through the problems that you might have.
Another thing that you need to take into consideration is the fact that many of these articles reference specific experiments, which might give conflicting data with others, so there is nothing ”For sure,” so it is always a good idea for you to conduct further research into the scientific studies that they are referencig.
In this article, Fox News makes a number of very similar assertions as Boston.com did, stating that over time, the skills that an individual learns while playing video games can apply to them in real life as well, and in situations outside of these video games.
